As a non-profit organization, Kaufman County Citizen Corps, Inc. relies on the support from donors, sponsos and grant makers to raise the monies needed to perform our operation and to fund the programs that we support.  We receive very little, if any, funding for govermental agencies and rely on the general public.  Currently, we are actively seeking to raise funds for the project and looking to expand it into more during 2008.
2008 Fund Goal

Our Goal: $100,000
Currently: $0

Updated: 01/02/2008

We have targeted three important areas that need attention to better serve the community and its citizens. We have established a goal of $100,000 total for 2008.  To learn more about were these funds will be used, read our Goals Page.

Regardless of how much or little you, your family, bussiness or place or work can donate or sponsor, it all helps to make a huge difference.  Do to a lot of hard work and support that we receive from our sponsoring agency and others, we are able to commit 100% of all proceeds received into our programs and projects, which remain here in Kaufman County.

coins3.jpg    Whether its just a few coins you find in your car or under your couch or a monthly check or PayPal donation, ever little bit helps to make a difference.  Have a jar full of pennies you wish to get rid of, that's fine, we will take them.  In fact, we encourgace penny harvest, which allows children and others to collect "used" pennies and then donate them for our use.  Some penny harvest around the nation have received well over $600,000 in pennies.  That amount of pennies sure would make a world of difference here in our communities.

We are proud to over the ability to accept donations by credit card (currently processed by our Kaufman County CERT program), PayPal, Google CheckOut, Checks (both online and off) and many other options.  Help just once or help once a month, no matter what, you will be helping to make a difference.  The only thing that we ask is that you do not wait until a disaster happens or a need arises that we need the money right then.  Its always better to be ready before hand, than to try and catch-up afterwards.

Why do we ask for financial support, instead of seeking items?  Well, we ask for both, but to learn more about why we do, please read our Frequently Asked Questions.   To learn more about what a "poor worthless penny" can do, please read The Unlucky Penny (link to come).
